Morgus Fletch
Age:
98 (born in March of 2020)
Gender:
Male
Loyalty:
He doesn’t choose sides. He has been the Cemetery overseer for 78 years and doesn’t care for either side of the argument.
Appearance:
Short, barely five feet tall, Morgus is rather stocky. He is big boned, and rarely exercises too much. You will find, however, that he is very fast when he is trying to chase troublemakers away from the cemetery. Being rather old fashioned, Morgus usually wears old, somewhat battered old suits. He has no limp, but caries a walking stick at his side at all times. Anyone who’s ever been in the cemetery without a good reason and was caught knows what he uses it for. The unfortunate’s bruises usually didn’t fade till the next week.
As is expected, Morgus isn’t the most beautiful person in the world. He isn’t sick, simply old; nearly 100 years old. His face is very wrinkly, and even if he didn’t always look suspicious of everything, he would not likely be called kind. Morgus’ dark blue eyes always form slits, and he is always frowning. His hair is spars and gray. He cannot abide beards, so his face is always perfectly smooth. Fletch’s eyebrows are very bushy, and black, unlike his hair. All in all, Morgus Fletch looks rather foreboding and ancient as well as unfriendly.
Personality:
As stated above, life has not been friendly to Morgus. He is always scowling, but that is not because he is mean, simply because he doesn’t see much to smile at in his line of work. To strangers, he will appear a tyrannical old man with lots of unfair comments to make. But to those that gain his friendship, he will be a valuable ally. He is extremely intelligent, and has many stories to tell. He does not choose sides, knowing that death doesn’t care whose side you are on. Rebels and government officials are equally unwelcome in his small home.
Short History:
Margus was born on March 20, 2020. Odd date, that, but it wasn’t like he chose it. He has always been thoughtful, intelligent man with a passion for history. He graduated from a prestigious high school in 2038 with honors. He never went to college. Instead, after seeing his family fall apart, and his siblings and mother die, he spent long hours at the nearest cemetery. When the previous overseer quit in 2040, he took the job. It didn’t pay well, but he always had a home, food, and plenty of free time to pursue his hobbies. For the past 78 years, Margus has been carefully documenting the world’s history. Some consider his library to be more believable than that of the government. However as it has never been uploaded to the web, so Harris can easily ignore it.
Lately, as more and more advances are made in science, Margus gets more and more withdrawn. During his long lifeline, he has seen many things, but none as inhumane as this. So far, he has refused to choose sides and has helped rebels and officials alike, yet how long can he stay alive with that sort of attitude? How long will it be before somebody considers this ancient man a threat?
