This is a sketch of the places I want for an RP I may, or may not create.... (probably another waste of time, but at least I might have a setting for my stories) The Thrice-nine Kingdom in the Thrice-ten Realm What to have:
*Castles
- One with a poor economy {sorta like my kingdom in the play}
- Cinderella's castle{long after Cinderella herself died}
- Beast's Castle{from beauty and the beast. Beauty has died, being mortal, but the beast lives on.}
- Sneshnoya Koroleva's Castle
- Man eater's Castle
*Towns
- Man Eater's Town
- Rat town {lots of rats, there is a story about how a flutist sings them away, but isn't paid, so he sings the kids away too.}
- City of love{the place were Snow White had been buried the first time}
*Forests
- Forest for talking animals
- Koshei the Deathless{Besmertnii}
- Baba-Yaga
- Leshii
- faerie's forest{forest with little faries, amung them, Duimovochka}
- Rebel group(robin hoodish){stuck between the Beast's castle and the Maneater.}
*Other important details
- Academy of Magic{and/or something else}
- Dragons{all kinds, chinees... three headed... European...}
- The three way stone{"Na pravo poidesh... Na levo poidesh... A pryamo poidesh..."}
Anything you can add?

hmm... well i think it would be nice to add a village with all the russian folk tales, but i'm guessing that would have tob _way_ too specific. Still, i think i'd like to outline it. plus i'm bored.
- an apple tree with golden apples that bends its branches down only for the stepaughter - a little brook out of all the "sestritsya alyonushka, bratets ivanushka" stories/movies (like, the one he drinks from and turns into a goat) - kolobok's family's hut - it would also be nice to have the forbidden city from allanna - also, why not include an under-the-hill (like you know the places irish faeries live)
most importantly, though, please include an oak tree (na lukomorie dub zeleniy)

Nice, but, Len, what do you mean by the forbidden city? And the under-the-hill thing?

umm. forbidden city? city of the gods? i don't remember what it was called, but it's from tamora pierce, secon book of allanna, or maybe end of fiirst book, when Alanna and the prince go into the city with the demons, like, you know, the city surrounded by the ring of light so that the demons can't escape, and there's the second city to keep watch on the first one out of the Sunset Room... ? the under-the-hill thing is straight from irish tales. Elves/fey live under a hill (a knoll, technically, but as far as i understand that's the same thing as a hill) and when they go in or out from under the hill, this small passageway in the side of the hill, loooking kinda like a fox hole, opens up, and if a human goes through the foxhole and under the hill, they're stuck until a fey opens the passageway again, though that's not too bad cause if the human goes before the king of fey and demands to be let out, the kind of fey has no jurisdiction over humans and has to let the human out, as long as the human hasn't eaten anything under the hill and if a human eats anything fey, they become part-fey and can't leave the hill again cause the king gets power over the human/fey. yeah, that's basically it. now lets see if that made sense.

oh, btw, i'm not sure why i put under-the-hill and the forbidden city into the village list. I think i just missed a paragraph mark or something, cause they're separate from the village.

So, I spent some time trying to draw this out on a map, I'm pretty sure I've missed something, but I don't feel like checking. A few points of interest: *The great oak actually covers the only port on the "island". *The Devil's forest is were all the Kosheis, Baba Yagas, ect. live. *The animal pond transforms people to animals and vice versa. (The man eater has managed limited control over it's water and can change into some animals at will.) *The Living Woods houses talking animals. *Far far Away is a castle currently undergoing a budget crisis. *City of love was built around Snow White's first coffin. *City of the Rats is over run by vermin. *And all types of dragons live in the snowy cliffs. I might also add just a simple, normal trading town..... With lots of magical animals for sale.... Sort of like a huge market place.

Jobs. (a working list) In the Castles *Food Taster
Not all that hard of a job, but not all that pleasant either. I mean, you get to eat great food, and if it is poisoned, it's not like you'll care all that much, you'd be dead.
*Groom of the Chamber
The Groom of Chamber oversees and moves all the royalty's belongings when they go on tour. To do this job, you need to be three things. One, patience enough to put with royalty. Two, a very good memory. After all, we don't want to have the wrong painting hanging in the Snow Queen's room! Three, be sort of a cross between Arnold Schwarzenegger and a huge Shire horse. At least the job pays well and you are comfortable.
*Royal Washerwomen
Awful, awful job. But if you have a mind for gossip, you might be interested. You must be almost as strong as the Groom of chamber. There is no such thing as soap, and the water has to be lugged from the nearest well by hand. But it is better than nothing.
*Boot Boy
Guess when these workers start their day? Crak o' midnight or so. And your job is endless. Shoes, shoes, and more shoes. Pennies for your trouble, and a day off every month. But, awful job that this is, at least you get a roof and some food. Far better than sleeping on roofs.
Outside of the Castles*Armorer
A rather thankless job unless you focus solely on parade designs. Especially since there is no advanced technology and people have to use good ole' man power. That means no power saws, no specialized fire resistant fabric, ect. It also means that if you want wood, you get to go chop it. Then you carve it, then you watch it shatter. Add to that long hours and small pay and you have an awful job.
*Falconer
Talk about high stakes. The birds that Falconers work cost thousands. Much more than the life of a simple falconer. But a falconer's job isn't just sitting around and watching a few birds. Besides having to feed and groom their moody charges, falconers spend hours exercising and hiking after their birds. Yet that's not all. Falconers also have to keep up with the royalty on hunting trips. And wile the hunters were on horses, the falconer's walked.
*Royal Messenger
Riding in all weather, assassination attempts, nonstop riding, did I mention assassination attempts? What about 'in all weather'? Well, I'll mention it again, this is an awful job unless you love being exhausted and cold.
*Fireworker
Yes, they did have fireworks, but only in one color and no safety precautions at all. This is a job that very few actually want to do, so most monarchs simply volunteer the lowest members of the military.
*Rat Catcher
Talk about being in high demand. Most rat catchers use poison, but catching rats live is far more profitable, and dangerous. Think of all the diseases these furry creatures carry!

lol. Thanks for the edits. Now I have a small favor to ask, could you maybe separate the map into a few manageable "areas"? Like, the top part would be part of the northern kingdom... but I'm not so sure about others. Maybe have the golden tree and telling stone be part of "no man's land" ? Anyway... help? (when you have a spare moment)

you mean separate the picture? like, make parts of it diff parts? Ok, i can do that tomorrow at school, k? (my comp runs photoshop way too slowly, so i just use a school comp for drawing and editing stuff) I'll try to edit it so that it's not just rectangles, but i can't guarantee it. Like, i have a couple of hunches but... We'll see.

oh, btw, are you ok with this division:
-great oak -golden tree, telling stone -man eater, town of karabus -supporters camp, animal pond, rebel camp -the beast -living woods -forest of the fey -city of love , rat's town -far far away -devil's forest -snow queen -dragons
is that too many? I mean, i could divide them really generically, just by where they are. then if would be more like: -snow queen, dragons -great oak, city of love, rat's town, forest of the fey, far far away -telling stone, golden tree -devil's forest -living woods, the beast -animal pond, supporters' camp, rebels' camp, town of karabus, man eater

Lol, I was just talking about seperating the places, not the picture, I wouldn't make you do that. So, all I wanted you to do was pretty much that last post. Thanks!
